# Kangana Ranaut blushes at compliment, video goes viral 2026-08-20T14:01:58+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut blushed after a female journalist called her beautiful at a pre-release event of her film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. A video of the moment has gone viral on social media, with users praising her softer side. In the clip, Kangana, dressed in a violet and grey sari, smiles and looks down at her mic before thanking the journalist. 'It is very special always to get a compliment from a woman. Thank you!' she says. The internet reacted warmly, with comments calling the moment 'special' and noting how her eyes lit up. This comes weeks after Kangana faced criticism for calling some young Hindu women protesters 'generation gutter' in remarks about Gen Z. She later clarified that she was referring to specific individuals, not the entire generation, and called Gen Z 'a great asset to our nation.' ## Indian Opinion Analysis Kangana Ranaut has built a polarising public persona over a decade, first as a Bollywood star and now as an MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Her combative style on nepotism, item songs, farm laws, and the '2014 real independence' remark generates strong reactions. This viral moment of vulnerability is a deliberate counter-image, coming just after the 'generation gutter' controversy that saw opposition parties demand an apology. For an elected representative, such softer optics can help soften electoral blowback in a constituency where she won by a narrow margin in 2024. Watch for whether her party deploys this clip in campaign material ahead of the 2027 Himachal assembly elections. ## Coverage - hindustantimes.com Reports the viral video and the prior controversy without taking sides, giving space to both the compliment reaction and the clarification.
