# Kangana Ranaut hits back at Baba Ramdev over character remark 2026-08-20T01:37:36+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has responded to Baba Ramdev’s criticism of her remarks about some young women and protesters. In an Instagram Story, she told Ramdev not to “day dream about my jawani or bedroom” and said he should not give her character lessons. She also referred to the Supreme Court’s action in the Patanjali misleading advertisements case. Hindustan Times and Bollywood Hungama report that Ramdev had called Kangana’s “generation gutter” comment a sign of a “corrupted mind” and questioned her upbringing. Kangana said her remarks were aimed at “some people or some women”, not all young people or women. In 2024, Ramdev and Patanjali managing director Acharya Balkrishna faced the Supreme Court over alleged violations of orders on misleading advertisements. Ramdev later issued an unconditional apology. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both outlets use straight entertainment-news reporting, but their emphasis differs slightly. Hindustan Times leads with Kangana’s personal rebuttal and gives more space to the background of her earlier comments, while Bollywood Hungama presents the exchange as another stage in the wider controversy. Neither account independently verifies the reported event remarks or adds a response from Ramdev after Kangana’s post. The Supreme Court case provides factual context for Kangana’s reference, but it does not resolve the dispute over the language used by either side. The immediate point to watch is whether Ramdev responds publicly to Kangana’s Instagram statement. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Reports both remarks and gives context on the Supreme Court case - bollywoodhungama.com (neutral report) Presents the exchange chronologically with background on earlier comments This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
