Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has said her film 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata' moves beyond conventional ideas of patriotism to honour doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. The film is now streaming on Zee5. Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Ranaut said, "I have tremendous respect for our armed forces… but patriotism has many forms." The Times of India and Bollywood Hungama both report that Ranaut urged younger audiences to see the film, arguing that real heroism exists in ordinary circumstances. "The people in this story did not wake up that day knowing they were going to become heroes. They were simply going to work," she said. Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the cast includes Girija Oak Godbole, Smita Tambe, and Suhita Thatte. Ranaut expressed hope that families would watch the film together around Independence Day to gain gratitude for those who serve society daily. 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata' is an attempt to remember unsung heroes, she said.
