# Kangana Ranaut posts video comparing English skills with Boston graduate 2026-08-24T15:07:01+00:00 | India | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets BJP MP Kangana Ranaut shared an Instagram video comparing her English-speaking skills with Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke, a Boston University graduate. The video showed Dipke speaking haltingly about the medical exam controversy, then cut to Ranaut speaking fluently. Text on the video called her English "fire" and his "needs a reboot". Hindustan Times reports Ranaut has spoken before about being mocked for her English early in her career, including by actor Sonam Kapoor on the talk show Koffee With Karan. News ABPLive adds that Dipke, responding to a fan question, attributed his hesitation to feeling conscious in front of the camera. On Monday, Dipke wrote to state education ministers seeking data on school infrastructure and teacher vacancies. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Hindustan Times led with the '12th pass' label in its headline, framing the exchange as an education-level comparison, while News ABPLive foregrounded Dipke's Boston University credential in its own headline. Both sources reported Ranaut's past complaints about being mocked, but only ABPLive gave space to Dipke's explanation for his hesitation. The balanced reading is a social-media spat over public speaking fluency, not a substantive policy debate. The real next step is Dipke's infrastructure data request to states, which shifts the focus back to student issues. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 1 neutral, 1 sensationalist - hindustantimes.com (sensationalist) Headline uses '12th pass' label to frame story as class/education clash - news.abplive.com (neutral report) Led with Dipke's degree and included his explanation without editorialising This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
