He was shifted to the special sub-jail in Thalassery. The police alleged he made Facebook posts targeting Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala containing obscene remarks and threats, intended to provoke the public and disturb peace. The police had launched a statewide search after Arjun went absconding following the registration of multiple cases, including one for allegedly sexually explicit posts targeting a police station house officer. He was arrested from near Thalikavu in Kannur early Sunday. Separately, the Nadakkavu police arrested his younger brother Ajay under preventive detention for allegedly providing financial assistance and helping circulate social media posts while Arjun was in hiding.
