# Karisma Kapoor recalls Geeta Kapur giving her a Michael Jackson dance routine 2026-08-19T17:24:52+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet On India's Best Dancer Season 5, Karisma Kapoor and choreographer Geeta Kapur shared memories from their early careers. Geeta recalled meeting Karisma in 1996 on the sets of Dil To Pagal Hai, when she was starting as an assistant choreographer and Karisma was already a big star. Geeta remembered Karisma's light blue gown and her respectful behaviour. Karisma recalled that during stage shows, Geeta gave her a challenging Michael Jackson-like dance routine while others got easier steps. When Karisma complained, Geeta said she could do it. Karisma also shared that she learned about her National Award win for Dil To Pagal Hai via a call from co-star Tabu, before filmmaker Yash Chopra could tell her. India's Best Dancer Season 5 airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM on Sony Entertainment Television. ## Indian Opinion Analysis This nostalgic segment serves as promotion for the reality show's new season. Karisma Kapoor and Geeta Kapur have collaborated on stage shows for decades, but never in a film. The anecdote about Tabu calling Karisma with National Award news highlights how informal industry networks spread word before official announcements. For viewers, the show offers rare behind-the-scenes insight into Bollywood's star-choreographer dynamics. The next episode will likely feature another guest recalling similar memories. ## Coverage - bollywoodhungama.com Straightforward reporting of show anecdotes, no political or ideological slant This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
