# Karnataka extends SIR voter list deadline to August 17

The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer's office on Friday extended the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls deadline to August 17, the second extension for the exercise. The draft list will now be published on August 24, with claims and objections accepted until September 23, and the final rolls on October 27. Civil society groups and Karnataka Congress chief BK Hariprasad had sought more time after the publication of the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead, Others) list. Voters wrongly listed can approach Booth Level Officers till August 17 to submit corrections.
