Sajitha Rani inaugurated the golden jubilee celebrations of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, on August 6 and 7. The event, named ‘Samanwaya - Uniting Academia’, was held in association with K-AgTech LaunchPad under a KAU-NABARD-Western Sydney University initiative. It featured ‘Srishti, She Leads Startup Summit 2026’ and ‘Drishti 2026, The Agri Science Slam’, a platform for students and researchers to present agricultural research and emerging technologies through creative formats. Kerala State Higher Education Council Vice-Chairperson Achuthsankar S. Nair, the chief guest, stressed the need to integrate education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship through stronger institutional mechanisms. The concluding day included a fraternity meet with alumni interactions, mentorship sessions and round-table discussions. Thomas George, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, presided.
