R. Chandrasekharan, INTUC Kerala president and former KSCDC chairman, and K.A. Ratheesh, former managing director, have appealed to the Kerala High Court Division Bench against a Single Judge's observations in a contempt petition linked to the alleged raw cashew import scam. The two argue the Single Bench ignored their right to challenge the sanction order for prosecution. The CBI had sought sanction to prosecute them for alleged misappropriation. The state government refused thrice, but issued the order after the Single Judge pulled it up. The court will take up the matter on Monday. The Hindu reports the developments.
