Chairperson K. Somaprasad said a common complaint is that children neglect parents after receiving property transferred to their names. One complainant alleged a non-banking financial company cheated him of ₹85 lakh, while another said a lender failed to return a 1.25-acre property after the loan was repaid. Of the 300 complaints received across the state in nine months, about 50 have been resolved. The Commission received seven new complaints on Tuesday. Two earlier matters were scheduled for hearing but opposing parties failed to appear in one case. The panel will seek departmental reports and summon parties for hearings.
