Kerala Lower Primary School Teacher rank holders ate grass outside the state Secretariat on Saturday to protest the government's delay in issuing appointment orders. The candidates, who secured positions on the Kerala Public Service Commission rank list published last May, have been demonstrating for 34 days. Protesters said authorities asked for two months to process appointments but have offered no update. They accused the government of ignoring their hunger strikes and other protests. The agitation stems from alleged irregularities in PSC evaluation. Kerala Police have formed an SIT led by Inspector General S Ajeetha Begum to probe the matter.
