Police said Ajeesh recorded a video of the injured couple and sent it to a relative, who alerted the parish priest and neighbours. They found the couple dead, police said. According to police, Ajeesh had a history of alcohol and drug use and had earlier undergone de-addiction treatment. He allegedly told police he acted after receiving a “call from God”. His bedridden grandmother was in the house but was not harmed. Ajeesh was produced in court on Saturday and remanded in judicial custody.
