# Kerala man dies after son hits him with rice ladle

A 65-year-old man died in Malappuram after his son hit him on the head with a rice-serving ladle during an argument. The deceased, Velayudhan, and his son Unnikrishnan were living together in a tarpaulin-covered shed. Mathrubhumi reports Unnikrishnan confessed to the police. Velayudhan was first taken to Tirur District Hospital, then shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, where he died. Tirur police have registered a case and are investigating.
