Nicole Kidman has said people warned her that marrying Tom Cruise would hurt her career. In an interview with British Vogue, the 59-year-old recalled being told the marriage would negatively affect her work. She said she was 23 and deeply in love, and did not care. After the wedding, she said, critics told her 'See, we told you.' Kidman also reflected on her recent divorce from Keith Urban, calling each split a new experience. She married Cruise in 1990 and divorced in 2001. Her career later soared with roles in Moulin Rouge! and The Hours, winning an Oscar.
