KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty welcome baby girl

Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty have been blessed with a baby girl, as announced through a heartfelt digital card shared on X. The couple, who tied the knot in January 2023, welcomed their first child on March 24, 2025.

The announcement featured an elegant illustration of two swans, with the words: “Blessed with a Baby Girl – 24.03.2025 – Athiya & Rahul.”

The couple, in November 2024, had officially shared the news of Athiya’s pregnancy. Posting on Instagram, they wrote, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025.”

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul first crossed paths in January 2019 through a mutual friend and quickly developed a strong connection. Over the years, their bond deepened, eventually leading to their intimate wedding in 2023. The couple exchanged vows at Suniel Shetty’s picturesque farmhouse in Khandala, surrounded by close family and friends.

Rahul skips DC’s IPL 2025 opener

Rahul, who was set to feature in his new IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals, missed their season opener against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday due to the birth of his daughter.

Rahul would enter the tournament, riding on the Champions Trophy success, of which he was an integral part.

Axar Patel, who is leading Delhi Capitals this season, won the toss and opted to field.
