# Koffee With Karan final season begins October 14, Salman Khan opens 2026-10-13T13:37:45+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets The ninth and final season of Koffee With Karan will premiere on October 14 at 7 PM IST on JioHotstar, with Salman Khan as the first guest. The actor returns to the show after more than a decade, making a solo appearance on the opening episode. Promos released on October 12 show Karan Johar revisiting his 2013 question to Salman: 'You still a virgin?' Salman replies, 'Control, yaar, brother. Control.' The actor also jokes with Johar about the show ending, referencing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with 'Karan, tusi na jao.' Johar announced in late September 2026 that Season 9 would be the last. The show began in 2004 with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, ran for 161 episodes over 22 years. The full guest list is unconfirmed, but reports mention Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan among possible appearances. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both Hindustan Times and Odisha TV offer neutral, descriptive previews of the same event, leading with the premiere date and Salman Khan's return. Hindustan Times provides broader context: the show's history, Johar's announcement, and unconfirmed guest speculation. Odisha TV focuses on the dialogue from promos, especially the recreated 'virgin' exchange and Salman's comments on trolling. Neither outlet adds critical commentary or takes a stance, the coverage is uniform straight reporting. The key open question is whether the rumoured guest list, including a Dil Chahta Hai reunion, will materialise, as none has been officially confirmed. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Straight preview, leads with date and show history - odishatv.in (neutral report) Straight preview, focuses on promo dialogue This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
