# Telangana seizes 19.6 kg ganja in two Hyderabad operations

Hyderabad's EAGLE Force, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force, seized 18.538 kg of ganja worth Rs 9.26 lakh from a passenger aboard the Konark Express on Friday. The accused, Niranjan Pradhan (22), a sewing machine worker from Odisha's Ganjam district, admitted to transporting the contraband from Odisha to Pune on instructions from a man on the run. A mobile phone was also recovered. In a separate incident, the Prohibition and Excise Department's District Task Force arrested Wasim Sheikh, a West Bengal native, with 1.1 kg of ganja and 2 grams of brown sugar during a raid on Nallakunta Road in Kachiguda. Both accused were handed over to the police for investigation under the NDPS Act.
