# Telangana, Andhra launch major Pushkaralu 2027 works

Telangana has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for Godavari Maha Pushkaralu-2027, with works starting in the first week of September, Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu announced. He directed officials to complete tendering by end-August, appoint special officers for high-footfall locations, and set up command centres. The minister warned of action against lapses and said connectivity gaps must be filled using local funds. Simultaneously, Andhra Pradesh's Konaseema district will develop 105 pushkar ghats at Rs 39.50 lakh, and proposals worth Rs 13.70 crore have been prepared for power supply upgrades, the collector said. The Andhra energy minister also reviewed a Rs 830 crore power infrastructure plan for the festival, including 19 new substations. Both states are building capacity ahead of the expected surge in devotees.
