# Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan tease possible Bhediya 2 with Amar Kaushik 2026-10-26T14:00:32+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 3 independent outlets Kriti Sanon has sparked speculation about a sequel to the 2022 horror-comedy Bhediya after sharing a social media video of herself with co-star Varun Dhawan and director Amar Kaushik. The trio howl like wolves in the clip. Sanon captioned it: ‘An unexpected reunion that will get you Obsessed. Stay Tuned.’ No official confirmation of a project has been made. Bhediya was released in November 2022 and earned Rs 94.41 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk. Maddock Films announced Bhediya 2 in January 2025, initially scheduling it for 14 August 2026, but the film did not release on that date. Kaushik has said the team will proceed only when satisfied with the script. Varun Dhawan told fans in January 2026 he had not signed any new film at the time. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three outlets report the same social-media tease, the same unanswered questions about Bhediya 2, and the same history of a missed August 2026 release date. Times Now focuses on fan reactions and excitement, India TV and Hindustan Times add more production context, including Kaushik’s script-condition and Dhawan’s January 2026 remarks. No outlet contradicts another on any fact. The coverage is uniform neutral-reporting of a non-event: a social post that confirms nothing. The only concrete open point is whether Maddock Films or the actors will announce a project next, and no source names a date for that. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - indiatvnews.com (neutral report) Straight news: reports tease, sequel history and no confirmation - timesnownews.com (neutral report) Focus on fan speculation and social-media reaction - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Adds box office figure and Dhawan-Kriti project updates This brief was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
