This will be followed by re-issuing of the 3(A) notification, as an earlier one issued in 2024 for a 44-km, six-lane corridor had expired without follow-up action. The width of the original six-lane corridor was set at 45 metres, but has been revised to 70 metres after the Centre decided to build an eight-lane highway starting near Aroor on the Alappuzha border.
