# Lenskart Q1 profit jumps 182% to Rs 228 crore, revenue up 34%

Lenskart Solutions reported a 182.3% year-on-year jump in net profit to Rs 228 crore for the first quarter of FY27, driven by higher sales and store expansion. Revenue from operations rose 33.6% to Rs 2,714 crore. EBITDA grew 61.3% to Rs 589 crore, while product margin crossed 70% for the first time. The Times of India reports the company conducted around 70 lakh eye tests during the quarter, with eyewear volumes rising 25.7%. Founder Peyush Bansal said the company's role is 'creating the market, not competing in it.' Lenskart added 132 net new stores, taking its total to 3,459, and entered 50 new Indian cities. International revenue grew 38%. The board also approved acquiring an additional 19% stake in Baofeng Framekart Technology and setting up subsidiaries in South Korea and China.
