The Boxing Federation of India has decided that Asian Games medallists will be among the main entries for the championships. Lovlina told IANS on Sunday, 4 October 2026 that her target is to qualify on the first chance, saying early qualification would give athletes a longer period to prepare specifically for the Olympics. She said she wants to enjoy her Asian Games triumph without feeling the need to prove anything in response to her Paris Olympics disappointment. Lovlina credited a growing ‘champion mindset’ among Indian boxers and government support for the country's recent success across weight categories. The next step for her is the 2027 World Boxing Championships, where she aims to secure her Olympic berth. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both morungexpress.com and yespunjab.com carried the same IANS interview as a straight report with no editorial slant.
