An angle iron fell from the vehicle and pierced Elman Ali’s neck while he was getting his bicycle repaired at a roadside shop on Satrikh Road. Residents pulled him from beneath the overturned vehicle and took him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police arrested the driver and sent him to jail. An FIR was registered under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Residents said the road, built about six months ago, has developed potholes and becomes difficult to navigate when water collects.
