The fan, S Karthik, plans to perform milk and curd abishekam to a life-size foam cut-out of the actor from the film and break 173 coconuts as an offering. Karthik's temple, Shri Arulmigu Rajini Kovil, opened in 2023 and has stone statues of Rajinikanth. in 2026, the kolu features 23 steps with 230 foam stills. Karthik told Deccan Chronicle that Jailer 2 would surpass its predecessor's box office record. The Hindu reports Karthik also plans to install a three-foot neem wood statue of the actor in a bus conductor outfit. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both outlets lead with the Rajinikanth-themed temple and the fan's devotion ahead of Jailer 2, with The Hindu detailing the kolu, coconut-breaking and museum plans as a human-interest feature. Deccan Chronicle frames the event more as a prayer for box-office success, quoting the fan's belief that the film will break records.
