# Maharashtra CET Cell opens Round 3 for science-stream students in BBA, BCA 2026-08-23T01:36:15+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (3 source reports) The Maharashtra State CET Cell announced on August 22, 2026, that MHT-CET 2026 candidates from the PCM and PCB science streams can now participate in Round 3 of the Centralized Admission Process for BBA, BMS, BBM and BCA courses for the 2026, 27 academic year. The option form submission for BBA, BMS and BBM opens August 23 and closes August 25, for BCA, the window is August 25 to 27. Separately, the CET Cell has published the Round 2 seat matrix for the 5-Year Integrated LLB programme, with option forms open from August 23 to August 26. Allocations will be announced August 28, and reporting runs August 29 to September 1. A new betterment rule clarifies that candidates who reorder their preferences will lose their Round 1 seat if assigned a new college. The Round 3 provisional allotment list for MHT-CET general counselling is set for release on August 24. Candidates must self-verify allotments from August 25 to 28 and report to assigned institutes with documents and fees. The entire LLB admission process ends on October 5, 2026. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both freepressjournal.in stories are neutral-report procedural announcements, presenting official schedules without interpretation or criticism. The hindustantimes.com story is identical in style: a straight how-to guide for candidates checking allotments. There is no disagreement among sources because they cover three distinct phases of the same admission cycle, Round 3 eligibility for science-stream students (freepressjournal.in, story 1), Round 2 of the LLB process (freepressjournal.in, story 2), and the Round 3 provisional allotment release (hindustantimes.com). The uniform framing means the reader should absorb the timeline as authoritative. The actionable takeaway: the October 5 deadline for the LLB cycle is the last date in this sequence, and science-stream students now have a second chance at management seats through Round 3. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - freepressjournal.in (neutral report) Straight procedural announcement with no slant, lists dates and eligibility changes only - freepressjournal.in (2) (neutral report) Factual guide to LLB Round 2 seat matrix and betterment rules, no framing - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Step-by-step how-to for checking provisional allotment list, no editorialising This story was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above.
