The Maharashtra FDA has suspended the food licence of a Blink Commerce facility in Malad, Mumbai, after finding a severe cockroach infestation, expired and tampered food, poor cold storage, and absence of pest control. The facility is barred from selling or distributing food until further orders. Separately, the FDA inspected a Reliance Retail outlet in Buldhana after a complaint of live larvae in packaged 'kaju katli'. The complained batch was missing, but the agency seized 54 boxes of another batch worth Rs 10,238 for lab testing. Both actions are part of a state-wide enforcement drive under new commissioner Tukaram Mundhe.
