# Maharashtra Govt: Bombay HC new building bid process to finish by December

Maharashtra government told the Supreme Court on Friday it will complete the bidding process for the new Bombay High Court building in Bandra by December and hand over the remaining land by December 31. The state has already transferred 23.7 acres of the total 30.16 acres. Of the remaining 5.4 acres, 2.5 acres will be handed over by August 31, the rest by year-end. Bids for the Rs 4,127-crore project have been invited with a September 16 deadline. The project, to be built on the Bandra Government Colony land, will have a built-up area of 5,08,034 sq m and a 60-month completion period. The Supreme Court is monitoring the case to preserve the heritage court building and expand court infrastructure.
