Priyanka Chopra posted an unseen picture with Mahesh Babu on his 51st birthday from the sets of SS Rajamouli's Varanasi. The makers also released the first look of Mahesh as Rudhra, a character Rajamouli described as 'fierce and fragile'. Rajamouli said the Africa schedule, shot around Kilimanjaro and Masai Mara, gave the film an unmatched scale. Mahesh thanked fans and said Varanasi is close to his heart. The film, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, is scheduled for release on April 7, 2027, and marks Priyanka's return to Indian cinema after six years.
