Moitra said she checked in at 6.15 pm, was shown a prepared room and served tea and dinner. At 9.47 pm, she said, an additional district magistrate asked her to leave, citing an order from “the top”. A WhatsApp order sent at 10.52 pm said the property would be unavailable from August 14 for maintenance, while bookings confirmed before August 13 were exempt. Moitra alleged that a crowd gathered outside around 11 pm and shouted “Jai Shree Ram” slogans after she refused to leave. She has sought the Speaker’s intervention, cited the safety and dignity of women MPs, and indicated she may move a privilege motion or approach the Calcutta High Court. The Nadia district administration had not immediately responded to her allegations.
