Princess Tengku Puteri Ilyana Alia of Malaysia wed British GT racing driver Christopher Lionel Froggatt on August 7 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony followed Islamic and Malay royal traditions, including the presentation of the mas kahwin (marriage gift) and the merenjis sprinkling ritual to bless the couple. Princess Ilyana's father, Sultan Abdullah of Pahang and former King of Malaysia, attended along with other royals.
