# Mamitha Baiju joins sets of Rishab Shetty’s Jai Hanuman 2026-10-11T10:21:14+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 3 independent outlets Reports indicate that actress Mamitha Baiju has joined the ongoing shoot of ‘Jai Hanuman’, the sequel to the 2024 Telugu superhero film ‘HanuMan’, making her straight Telugu debut. The film, directed by Prasanth Varma, stars Rishab Shetty as Lord Hanuman and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, with music by MM Keeravaani. Multiple outlets report that neither the makers nor the actress have issued an official statement yet, making the news speculation for now. An official confirmation regarding her role is expected shortly. The film is part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). ## Indian Opinion Analysis The coverage of Mamitha Baiju’s reported casting in ‘Jai Hanuman’ is largely uniform in the core fact, but differs in framing. Times of India and 123telugu deliver straight news, simply noting her reported involvement and that no official confirmation exists. M9.news, by contrast, leads with a headline that questions whether she can ‘survive hero domination’ in a hero-centric mythological film, speculating that her character may have limited scope unless the writing gives her emotional weight. The balanced reading is that while the casting report is consistent across sources, the actual scope of her role remains unknown until the makers confirm it, and m9.news’s speculation is not matched by the other two outlets. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 2 neutral, 1 sensationalist - 123telugu.com (neutral report) Straight news report on the casting rumour with no slant. - m9.news (sensationalist) Leads with drama: questions her fit in hero-centric film, speculates on limited role. - timesofindia.indiatimes.com (neutral report) Straight news report attributing the news to 123telugu, no slant.
