# Mamitha Baiju viral meme sparks fan war with Pooja Hegde 2026-08-21T04:51:08+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet A meme template portraying actress Mamitha Baiju as a 'supreme angel' has gone viral on social media, triggering a fan war with supporters of Pooja Hegde. The meme claims Baiju single-handedly delivered hits for actors including Pradeep Ranganathan, Naslen, Vijay, Suriya and Nivin Pauly through her films. It contrasts this with Hegde's recent string of failures, calling Baiju her 'exact opposite'. Hegde fans have hit back, pointing out that Baiju's films *Kara* and *Jana Nayagan* also flopped. They argue that pitting one actress against another is unnecessary. The exchange has escalated into widespread online fights, with users sharing reactions to the meme template. The debate follows Baiju's praised performance in the recently released *Vishwanath and Sons*. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Fan wars over actresses are a recurring feature of South Indian cinema fandom, often amplified by meme culture on platforms like X and Instagram. The spat between Mamitha Baiju and Pooja Hegde supporters mirrors previous online clashes, such as those between Nayanthara and Samantha fans. What is at stake is not box office revenue but social media influence, which increasingly shapes casting decisions in the industry. The viral meme template claiming Baiju as a 'supreme angel' uses selective filmography, crediting her for hits she co-starred in while ignoring flops like *Kara*. Watch whether either actress or their teams acknowledge these fan fights publicly, silence typically signals that the studios consider the buzz harmless or commercially useful. ## Coverage - m9.news Leads with drama of fan fight and viral meme, not film plot or actress achievement This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
