A 25-year-old man from Quthbullapur was allegedly attacked by a gang of four on Friday night. The Jedimetla police booked a case.
According to an officer from Jeedimetla police, on August 16, at around 10:35 p.m., B. Chanti Yadav was returning home after work when he noticed a group of men beating one of his friends. “When Yadav intervened, the assailants allegedly attacked him with a surgical blade, inflicting multiple injuries. Yadav sustained deep wounds, requiring 15 stitches, along with a fracture,” said the officer, adding that he was rushed to the hospital by locals.
Based on the complaint from his brother, a case was registered under Sections 118(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
