Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has termed it a 'mystery' how the IPL generation seamlessly adapts to Test cricket, comparing their transition to pop singers attempting classical ragas. He made the remarks on The Great Indian Cricket Show on Doordarshan, as India's young squad featuring several IPL stars plays a two-Test series against Sri Lanka. Manjrekar said he is particularly impressed by the adaptability of modern batters, noting the vast difference between T20 batting and Test batting. Both rediff.com and sports.ndtv.com report his comments identically, with no conflicting facts or differing framings.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Both sources carry near-identical wire copy, offering straight reportage of Manjrekar's comments with no added editorial framing. The uniformity suggests the story was distributed via a news agency, with outlets merely republishing. The real news is not Manjrekar's surprise but the trend it reflects: Indian cricketers from the IPL era are increasingly succeeding in Tests, challenging the old orthodoxy that T20 skills do not translate to the longest format. Watch how this young squad performs in the remainder of the Sri Lanka series.
