Marvel release dates: Every upcoming MCU movie and show

Nowadays, trying to keep up with the release dates of all the upcoming Marvel Studios movies and Disney+ shows is nearly as difficult as keeping track of the story itself. Between a pandemic in 2020 and the Hollywood strikes in 2023, Disney has had to shuffle around all its release dates repeatedly. As a result, the entire Multiverse Saga has been pushed back by at least a year. We will continue to update this page as new projects are announced, but for now, here’s the full list of upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and shows with release dates.

MCU Phase 5 release dates

Ironheart | June 24, 2025

• Creator: Chinaka Hodge
• Cast: Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, Anji White, Jim Rash, Sacha Baron Cohen

Reprising her iconic role from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dominique Thorne stars as Riri Williams in Ironheart. Williams “returns from MIT to her hometown of Chicago in her iron suit and begins to unravel threads that bring danger and adventure right to her doorstep.”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps | July 25, 2025

• Director: Matt Shakman
• Cast: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn

Marvel’s First Family makes its long-awaited debut in the MCU in 2025. On Valentine’s Day 2024, Marvel finally confirmed that the main cast will feature Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing, and Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch. In the comics, Reed Richards played a major role in the Secret Wars storyline, so this movie will likely do a great deal to set up the finale of the Multiverse Saga.

We’ve also learned that Julia Garner (Ozark) has been cast as the Silver Surfer, which means that Galactus is all but certain to be the main villain of the movie.

Eyes of Wakanda | Aug. 6, 2025

• Creator: Todd Harris
• Cast: TBA

“Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts,” Marvel explains in the synopsis for its upcoming animated show on Disney+. “This is their story.”

Marvel Zombies | Oct. 3, 2025

• Creator: Zeb Wells
• Cast: Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Dominique Thorne, Iman Vellani, Todd Williams

Marvel Television is making a four-episode animated miniseries based on the Marvel Zombies comics, which were also featured in What If…? season 1.

Wonder Man | Dec. 2025

• Creators: Destin Daniel Cretton, Andrew Guest
• Cast: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Grosse, Ed Harris, Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Manny McCord

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, a superpowered actor and stuntman who auditions for the lead role in a superhero TV show. Ed Harris plays Simon’s agent, Neal Saroyan, Ben Kingsley reprises his role as Trevor Slattery (the fake Mandarin), and Demetrius Grosse plays Simon’s brother Eric, also known as Grim Reaper.

Avengers: Doomsday | May 1, 2026

• Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
• Cast: Robert Downey Jr.

After seemingly breaking up with the MCU for good, Joe and Anthony Russo are returning to direct the next two Avengers movies. In Avengers: Doomsday, we’ll see Robert Downey Jr. return to the MCU as well, but this time as Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day | July 31, 2026

• Director: Destin Daniel Cretton
• Cast: Tom Holland

We now know that we’re going to be waiting nearly five years between Spider-Man movies, as the fourth entry is slated to arrive in July 2026, between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. We don’t know anything about the plot yet, but considering it’s set between two Avengers movies, we have a feeling the implications are going to be huge.

Avengers: Secret Wars | May 7, 2027

• Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
• Cast: Robert Downey Jr.

In the comics, Secret Wars ended the multiverse as readers knew it up to that point. We suspect the same will be true of the movie, but Marvel has not shared any details yet. Rumors claim that characters from all the MCU movies, Fox’s X-Men films, and Sony’s Spider-Man trilogy are fair game. But how many of them will survive the multiversal war?
