Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Acclaimed boxer Mary Kom was evicted from Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20 on Saturday, 24 October 2026, after a new lifeline rule left her without protection. The Indian Express reports that she lost her second lifeline, while News9 Live adds that filmmaker Rohit Shetty introduced a condition removing all lifelines from contestants who had two, and deducting from those with one. Kom, a six-time world champion and Padma Vibhushan awardee, called her stay a great experience. Manish Goel survived the eviction with one lifeline remaining. Shetty had earlier confronted other housemates including ScoutOP, Qazi, Amrapali and Mahi over their strategies and conduct. The next episode is expected to feature the fallout from the eviction.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Both outlets report the same facts in a straight news style: Mary Kom's eviction, the lifeline rule change, and Shetty's confrontations. Indian Express leads with Kom's eviction and her farewell quotes, while News9 Live leads with Shetty's strategy reviews before revealing the eviction. Neither outlet adopts a critical or supportive stance toward the show or contestants. The coverage is uniform wire-style reporting. The key open point is how the remaining contestants adjust their game after Kom's sudden exit.
