# Mary Millben and Abhijeet Dipke clash over CJP funding 2026-10-15T05:32:33+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (3 source reports) American singer Mary Millben and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke have clashed on social media platform X over foreign funding for the party, which has been protesting in New Delhi for 15 days demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Millben claimed CJP receives funding from American donors and urged Dipke to instead work with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help India progress. Dipke countered by asking why Modi was seeking American support to discredit his own countrymen, and said India is fully capable of handling its internal matters without foreign interference. CJP plans to hold a protest at Connaught Place on 16 October, Dipke announced on Wednesday, 14 October. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Bhaskar.com and Prabhat Khabar both report the social media exchange between Mary Millben and Abhijeet Dipke largely as a he-said-she-said, attributing each claim directly. Bhaskar.com includes extensive background on Millben's past support for Modi and previous funding questions around CJP, while Prabhat Khabar adds the detail that Millben offered no documentary evidence for her claims. The coverage is uniform neutral reporting of the public spat, with the outlets differing only in the background material included. Neither outlet adopts a side. The key open question, drawn from both sources, is whether any formal investigation into CJP's funding will follow. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - bhaskar.com (neutral report) Straight he-said-she-said with background on past support - bhaskar.com (2) (neutral report) Same wire-style reporting, additional detail on Millben's lack of evidence - prabhatkhabar.com (neutral report) Same he-said-she-said, notes Millben gave no documentary proof This brief was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
