The Hindu side reiterated its demand that the mosque land, part of a 13.37-acre plot owned by the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, be handed over and the mosque shifted elsewhere. The Muslim side rejected the proposal, insisting on the validity of the 1968 agreement between the trust and the Shahi Idgah committee. Advocate Tanveer Ahmed argued the matter is sub judice before the Supreme Court, which should decide the claims, making further settlement talks unnecessary.
