Matthew McConaughey returns to the big screen after more than five years with "The Rivals of Amziah King," a honey-themed indie thriller set in the American Southwest. The film opens in US theaters this Friday. The Oscar-winning actor plays a charismatic honey producer and banjo player who reconnects with a young Native American woman, Kateri, played by Angelina LookingGlass. Director Andrew Patterson said he wanted to centre the story on a strong Indigenous woman. McConaughey stepped away from movies after 2019's "The Gentlemen" to write his memoir.
