# Meerut delivery agent allegedly assaulted and locked in flat

A delivery agent was allegedly slapped, kicked and taken inside a flat at Ganga Heights in Meerut after a dispute over a food order, CCTV footage shows. The incident reportedly occurred on August 14 in the Bhawnapur police station area. Times Now News identified the agent as Amit and said the argument followed a delay of about five minutes. Mathrubhumi reported that the dispute concerned the customer asking him to take the order upstairs. The footage appears to show the man taking the agent’s phone and locking him inside for around three minutes. Meerut Police said a case was registered under relevant sections and legal proceedings were under way, Mathrubhumi reported. Times Now News, citing CO Sadar Dehat Sudhir Kumar, said police had identified those involved and were conducting raids to arrest the accused.
