# MFA Challenges Bandra Football Ground Conversion in Bombay HC

The Mumbai Football Association (MFA) has approached the Bombay High Court to stop a proposal to convert Bandra's Neville D'Souza Football Ground into an exhibition and convention centre. The petition challenges a November 2025 letter from MHADA and a May 2026 recommendation by the BMC Improvements Committee to change the land reservation from playground to convention centre. MFA, which has managed the ground for over 15 years, says the venue hosts over 900 matches a season and is used by more than 10,000 players. It has sought urgent interim relief before the proposal goes to the BMC civic house on August 10.
