The explosion occurred at the KMP-246 Valve Assembly in the Bolan riverbed near Gorkat, around 700-800 metres from the main Quetta-Sibi Road in Kachhi district. The 18-inch-wide pipeline was damaged by remote-controlled explosives, said a senior police officer. Security was increased and SSGC teams provided protection while repairing the line.
