# Mizoram invites offline applications for 5 specialist doctor posts 2026-10-28T03:27:51+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Government of Mizoram, through the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), has invited offline applications for five specialist doctor posts at Zoram Medical College & Hospital in Falkawn under Advertisement No. 485/2026-2027. The vacancies are one each in Anaesthesiology (MD), General Surgery (MS), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MS), Paediatrics (MD) and General Medicine (MD). Candidates need an MBBS degree and must be ST permanent residents of Mizoram. Selection will be based on merit in the NEET (PG) 2026 examination conducted by the NTA, with applications cross-checked against official results. Completed forms must reach the Technical Wing Office at Chaltlang Lily veng, Aizawl, by 12 noon on 29 October 2026. No application fee has been mentioned in the notification. The full eligibility conditions are detailed in the official notification PDF. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The five specialist posts at Zoram Medical College are open only to ST permanent residents of Mizoram, making the recruitment a targeted state-government fill for local doctors. Selection is entirely by NEET (PG) 2026 merit, with no separate exam or interview, so a candidate’s rank in the national postgraduate test is decisive. The 29 October deadline is tight, and the offline submission to the Technical Wing Office in Aizawl adds a logistical hurdle for applicants outside the capital. With only one post in each of the five specialities, Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and General Medicine, competition will be sharp for those who meet the residency condition. ## Coverage - freejobalert.com Leads with vacancy numbers and deadlines in a service-listings format This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
