Gursewak Singh, headmaster at Kumbhra government school, was standing outside his house when two assailants in a white car attacked him. He succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Police have added Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to the FIR. Two suspects have been named but the motive is unclear. Gursewak had faced a similar attack a month and a half ago, but the assailants were not identified.
