The association also said Mohali's 30-bed ESI hospital is inadequate for 3.8 lakh insured persons, as ESIC's own 2022 rule requires a 400-bed facility for areas with 3.5 lakh or more. It complained no ambulances are available and patients are often referred to city hospitals without formal tie-ups.
