Mohamed Salah has joined Turkish club Trabzonspor on a two-year contract after leaving Liverpool, NDTV Sports reports. The 34-year-old Egypt international arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday, where hundreds of fans welcomed him before he travelled to Trabzon. The Hindu reports that his official signing ceremony was scheduled for Thursday. Salah left Liverpool as a free agent after eight seasons, having scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and won two Premier League titles and the Champions League. He scored 12 goals in all competitions last season, down from 34 the previous campaign. Trabzonspor, a seven-time Turkish champion, finished third last season. The club’s shares rose 6.5% after it announced transfer talks.
