Mohanlal is reportedly no longer part of Ajith Kumar's upcoming film 'Dare Devil', directed by Adhik Ravichandran. According to 123telugu.com and a report by Valai Pechu cited by Times of India, the Malayalam superstar exited the project due to remuneration issues. He was initially considered for a supporting role as Ajith's friend. The film, which marks Ajith's 64th outing, is produced by his wife Shalini Ajithkumar under Brave Hearts Production. Music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who earlier worked with Ajith on 'Vedalam', 'Vivegam', and 'Vidaamuyarchi'. There has been no official confirmation from Ajith, Mohanlal, or the production team regarding the casting change, the Times of India notes. Shooting is expected to begin towards the end of September 2026, making the coming weeks critical for finalising the cast. Pinkvilla reports that the film is helmed by Adhik Ravichandran, who previously directed Ajith in 'Good Bad Ugly'.
