# Mohanlal pens heartfelt note as daughter Vismaya’s Thudakkam opens big

Mohanlal shared an emotional note on social media after his daughter Vismaya Mohanlal's debut film Thudakkam hit theatres on August 7. He said watching her begin her journey and the love shown to her was a blessing he will always cherish. He also congratulated co-star Aashish Joe Antony, whom he has known since he was a boy. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, Thudakkam collected Rs 2.55 crore net in India and Rs 6.86 crore gross worldwide on its opening day. The film beat Kalyani Priyadarshan's Lokah (Rs 6.63 crore gross) for the highest opening-day by a female-led Malayalam film. However, Thudakkam's opening weekend collection of Rs 23.46 crore worldwide fell short of Lokah's Rs 40.87 crore.
