# Monsoon Session ends with 12 Bills passed, Lok Sabha productivity at 19%

Parliament’s Monsoon Session ended on Thursday with both Houses adjourned sine die, capping weeks of opposition protests over the NEET paper leak, police action on students, and alleged theft of Ram temple donations. Lok Sabha recorded 19% productivity and Rajya Sabha 39%, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, as 12 Bills were passed, 11 in the Lok Sabha without any discussion. Only the anti-paper leaks law and the bill penalising insult to Vande Mataram saw debate. Rijiju accused the Congress of sloganeering and avoiding discussions, while Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi said the opposition wanted answers on police conduct, not a speech from Home Minister Amit Shah. Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan called the disruptions a “matter of regret” and noted that the session lost precious hours for national issues. The Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Amendment Bill was referred to a joint committee.
