The project has state administrative approval of Rs 229.28 crore and is being implemented under the Centre’s Sagarmala programme. The contractor will have 24 months to finish the work. The new facility will include 10 berthing jetties, an 80-metre-by-80-metre terminal platform and passenger amenities.
